In cooperation with JOC and the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee, we conducted a project of inviting the Oceania National Olympic Committees (ONOC). We toured the venue and visited the facilities to be used in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics as well as introducing the Japan Institute of Sports Sciences (JISS), National Training Centre (NTC) in “Nishigaoka”, a base for consolidating sports in Japan and introduced all-Japan initiatives towards the Olympics.

We presented participants involved in team building in the Olympics and international competitions conducted in the Oceania region for sharing and exchange of opinions on the issues and needs of the Oceania region with all the relevant parties. We grasped the current situation and the needs of the Oceania region and explored the possibility of future cooperation with SFT.

Feedback from Participant :

・We clearly understood the details of the talent discovery program, on which JOC, JSC and JISS, etc. cooperate. I think global success beckons for Japanese athletes.
・We were able to share the issues and challenges of respective countries while listening to the presentations of NOC of other countries.
・Our visits to the Japan Sports Agency, JSC, JOC, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, JISS and NTC were very meaningful and beneficial. We were able to understand the sports performance enhancement system of Japan deeply.
